Spikes Paint Ball - Owner Randy MacDonald Is Hostile To Children and Parents

Spikes Paintball Owner Is Hostile Towards Children

Spikes Paintball, located in York, Prince Edward Island, is unkind to children, and if you have children and are considering taking your children, we strongly recommend you head our warning.

Numerous reports have surfaced, and eye witness accounts have surface.

In fact, I have personally seen owner Randy MacDonald making wild accusations and speak abusively to parents in front of their own children.

It amazes me that a business that is geared towards family fun and recreation, with children wanting to explore this type of recreational activity, has such a cowardly display of treatment towards parents and children.

This author has personally observed owner Randy MacDonald of Spikes Paintball accusing a 11 year old boy of "stealing" paint balls out of his trailer, wherein the child was with me at all times, and no observation of extra balls.

This author has also observed Randy MacDonald of Spikes Paintball make wildly accusations against a parent. I have heard him calling one parent a "thief" over and over again, in front of the parents own children, and in front of his childrens' friends who were there as well. When the parent asked for Randy MacDonald to stop this behavior, Randy just kept on saying it over and over again.

The allegation of "thief" came over a previous week where the parent paid for 1,000 paintballs, spending over $80 in paintballs, and the accusation was that the parent did not pay for the paintball guns for his children as well. This is particularly interesting, since the rules at Spikes Paintball changes from week to week, depending on who is managing the trailer. Sometimes when you buy paintballs, they give you the paintball guns to use, while another person managing the trailer will make you pay for the balls and the guns.

If I were you, I would NOT bring your children to Spikes Paintball. I would totally stay away from the owner of Spikes Paintball, Randy MacDonald.

  1. You really are hate mongering man. Again folks, this is posted by the same guy who posted the other 2 comments. He has described it in 3 different ways, from 3 different points of view, but it's the same guy. How stupid do you think people are? Come on man, I was there, saw what happened and it was nothing like what you said. STOP HATE MONGERING. Please. The only thing this does is make you look petty. Go somewhere else man. If people are concerned about Spikes, ask someone who has been there. they will give you an honest answer and I know they will have loved it. Spikes has been open for over 20 years, if things like this were going on I don't think they would have survived as long as they have. For the people reading this, ask questions please I encourage it. You will find that Spikes is one of the best places to take your kids for paintball. The refs have experience and are very safety oriented, and despite what this guy says your enjoyment is their first concern. Like I said in my comments on one of his other ramblings, I will check into the legal recourses of putting things like this on the net and see what the police have to say to him. Trust me, I've played for 18 years and Spikes is the only place I go...

  2. As an elementary school teacher and mother of two boys who have played at Spike's every weekend for the last 3 years, I am stunned this garbage is being given the time of day. I have never seen any disrespect to anyone by Roddy or Randy Macdonald. I have seen the total opposite. They have gone out of their way to make sure everyone has a great and safe experience, especailly the children who are left unattended for the day! I have often dropped our children off and left them in the care of Randy and/or Roddy with the knowledge that they will be in good hands. In fact our children have often jokingly wondered if Randy or Roddy would consider adopting them. Money is not their motivator or priority. If you are looking for a great paintball experience I KNOW Spike's is where you want to play. chances are I will be there, come and ask me about my experience at Spike's, I will be happy to share that with anyone.

  3. Its a shame that a great local business like Spikes got this blog put up about them. Iv e been going to Spikes since I was a kid and the place is epic and the staff are both FRIENDLY and knowledgeable. The guy was like a world champ or something so he knows his stuff.

Anyways I work at Sporting Intentions another local business on PEI and we had a guy blast us for no reason online and if the comments were constructive maybe I would pay attention, but this one is ridiculous and totally false.

    GO SPIKES !!
